New photos for the musée YVES SAINT LAURENT in Marrakech
Now that the musée YVES SAINT LAURENT Marrakech (mYSLm) is open to the public, we have compiled great pictures from social media that are highlighting the visitors’ impressions.
The images are showcasing the intricate detailing of the brick walls and the earthy tones of the building, contrasting the signature bright blue color of the neighboring Jardin Majorelle. The museum was designed by Studio KO.
#Architecture By the end of this month, the new Musée Yves Saint-Laurent (mYSLm) will open its doors to the public. Located on Rue Yves Saint-Laurent, the museum was designed by Olivier Marty and Karl Fournier from Studio KO. The facade is an intersection of cubes with lace-like covering of bricks, a pattern that recall the weft and wrap of fabric. The interior is totally different with a smooth, velvet atmosphere. The building cover 4,000 sqm, featuring a 400 sqm permanent exhibition space. A research library (6,000 volumes), a bookstore, a café and an auditorium. #Architecture #Design #Museum #Musée #YvesSaintLaurent #Marrakech #Maroc #Morocco #Collection #Exhibition #StudioKO #OlivierMarty #KarlFournier
